just a quick line or two

Well, it's almost june, and the allergies are killing me! But besides that, things here in LI are going pretty well. I am past the big suprise party that the children threw for our parents, so that was one big stress that was looming over all of our heads that is now relieved. AMEN! I am still working on the house projects that I want to do, but it seems as though I am the only one who is excited to change some things about our house. Pray that my parents and my siblings would get involved, cause really, I thought that if I had to, I could do it by myself, but I was wrong. te he he....
Ah well....I am starting one of my jobs definitely next week, and Lord willing I will be starting my other job as well. God is good, and I know that whatever happens will be the best.
My brother is the "leader" (though he wouldnt call himself that) of a book group we are doign with the college-aged kids here in town. We are reading the book "The Dangerous Duty of Delight" by John Piper. It's going pretty well, and yesterday was the first time! There was some good input, and it seems as though when people get more comfortable with sharing their thoughts with this group of brothers and sisters in the Lord. I was greatly encouraged! It was good.

I love and miss you all, and I am praying for you as you go through the summer days! Don't loose sight of the Lord. it's so easy to get distracted and caught up in so many other things, and to lose track of the daily reading of the Word and Prayer time. Keep close to the Lord, and continue to grow in the Grace and Knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
